RAINBOW was one of the first bands I recruited and being a traditional fiddler myself I was not at all familiar with the pop-genres and such music as "hits from the 60s to the 00s etc" that they played. 
In my musical training and upbringing I rarely listened to pop. Nevertheless I remember listening enthralled to these four excellent musicians belting out the tunes and I decided there and then that these guys were good.
They were all playing their instruments with verve and gusto and singing with enthusiasm and obvious enjoyment.  They were "tight" i.e. they played really well together as a unit and were obviously experienced and well-rehearsed. 
I have recommended them for many gigs since -- both weddings, anniversary celebrations, and corporate functions -- and I have never had cause to regret it.
Some bands rely too much on pre-recorded backing tracks and hence lack spontaneity. They certainly can be good but not as good as RAINBOW who play live.
To answer your question: "Would you consider RAINBOW to be a good and experienced wedding band?" -- I say, "Yes. Definitely. One of the best."
